ZIG Cigar Box Guitars

Zero Impact Guitars proudly presents the Oliva 3000 Cigar Box Guitars being offered exclusively at Havana Joe's Cigar Shop in Homestead Florida. Join us on 19 June 2009 @ 7:00 PM for the official release of the product. Meet Jose Oliva and watch him sign the Zero Impact Guitars Cigar Box Guitar.

This guitar is built using the traditional methods and using a few of the modern guitar assembly techniques for the frets and inlay.

We decided on a Ted Crocker "Flatbed" Bridge / Pickup combination for this model for that classic CBG sound and tone. This guitar has been setup on display at Havana Joe's for you to view. Stop by and take a look. They will be happy to let you hold it and play it if you want. Order yours exclusively at Havana Joe's. Other models are available, just ask for Albert.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the next post announcing the winner of our inaugural guitar care kit drawing.

ZIG Site and Concept Under Right Wing Competitor Attack

Well, I guess it was inevitable. A competitor from a not so well known manufacturer that I won’t even bother to mention, has decided that my Eco Friendly concept was a waste of their time. So they decided to make some untrue and opinionated comments about my product that they by the way, have NEVER tried or even seen in person. (Currently, there is no retailer in the northern US and my current stock only contains prototypes that have been hand delivered to professional product reviewers and market research locations.) Not including other instruments that I have custom built for exclusive players over the past 20+ years with nary a single complaint.

They knocked the design, the concept of my site (calling what is clearly the Swiss Alps, The Rockies) and making a comment about the tone of the instruments I build. And one of them called himself a Preacher. Last I checked, it was a sin to bare false witness!

My site clearly states that my guitars are built using FSC certified wood, or smartwood reclaimed from reconditioned solid wood guitar bodies. No Plywood, No Particle Board, No Plastic or Preformed Paper or Masonite as they implied. I know that there is a market for those guitars, that's just not what I wanted to build. There are enough of those $99.00 combo sets out there already.

Their comments were clearly a club effort for the company for which they are associated. Their site would not even allow a response to their implied untruths.

So if you read something that is of a derogatory nature against any of the US Guitar manufacturers from a so called "preacher", read a bit more from their site and I’m sure you will see their comments for what they are. A sales Pitch for their Overseas Manufacturers. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Anyway, I hope that all those that review my guitars are actual customers of mine and will honestly post their comments. If there were complaints, I would know and will stand behind every guitar I build. My name is on them, Not some alias on a no name forum.

Thanks for reading my post.
